I read that one should give a woman 4 hugs a day. I give my partner more like 40 a day. How can a relationship get by on just four hugs a day?

Oh My God please tell me this is a joke question!
If not, this is a prime example of why all books that claim to lay out the so called "rules" of relationships should be banned.
A hug is a display of affection. You should give them when you feel affectionate- that's the whole point- there isn't some magic formula for number of hugs that must be bestowed at regular timed intervals in order to make a relationship work!
The single main thing that makes for a succesful relationship is being genuine and individual- reading up on special formulas in a book and following them to the letter totally undermines anything special and unique about you, and those are the most attractive qualities.
If you're a huggy person- hug! Eventually you'll meet a huggy partner who loves it!
