  • The Bible says that God created man in His image most certainly--however God DOES NOT have the capability to sin--only man has the free will to choose evil over good. God's character itself, that of perfection leaves no option for a choice of evil.
  • Yes. Of course. If God created free will He already knew we would make independent decisions - and naturally any imperfect being with free will is going to make mistakes.
  • We have been created "in Gods image" in the sense that we have the ability to think up stuff, to create stuff. Only a fool would think that it means we were created JUST LIKE HIM. Man has been going to and fro on this earth for decades trying to "be like God", trying to be God for other people, but what has it really gotten him? WARS, more WARS, murders, and more murders, poverty, corruption, stealing, lying, cheating, etc. etc. etc. As old Bob Dylan once said, "when you gonna wake up?" The Bible clearly says that we are all sinners, and most of us deep down inside know this to be true about ourselves, but we just want to have our own way, like a child throwing a tantrum. Read the Bible, start today, I did, and it set me truly free.
  • These kinds of questions aren't going to get proper answers, because there are no proper answers. 'God' is entirely imaginary, and people kill for it. Silly, really. The question you've asked kind of puts the Christians in an infinite loop. They give you one answer, which you can easily refute with logic. Then they give you another, and you refute again. It just goes in circles indefinitely until one (most likely you) gets tired of arguing with a brick wall.
  • Good question. Makes you wonder about the authenticity of the bible and Christian beliefs.
  • I beleive that god is selfish and vain and that he created us to worship him, the fruit was forbiden bacuse it gave us the power to tell the difference batween the dark and the light. what the "snake" did was open our eyes. And he NEVER asked us to praise him for it. that has been the most interesting of the bibles hidden truths I have found. if your curious ask your preacher to explain the passage about hidden truths, if his stumbling doesnt convice you, his prefabricated responce should.
  • SO, when your children, whom I suppose are in your image, want to have sex at age 12... that's OK, right? When you[r] husband or wife want[s] to have sex with the next door neighbor, once again, no problem? Just because your spouse is "hot", it does not give him/her a free ticket to do what ever he/she wants. It is the same with God. If you decide to go your way, God will let you. You have your own free agency to do what ever you want.
  • We got set up.
  • Believing in God is a step / leap of faith...do any of you have the guts to take that leap? Until you take that first, scary step of faith, you will continue to make fun of christians, and tell them to just leave you alone. You will find every excuse you can to "disprove" their beliefs! You will remain in your lonely, depressed, hurting lifestyle, but that is all your choice guys, and gals. God is perfect, and you are not. He IS God, and you are not. If that offends you, than I would say you don't have the guts to seek Him out in faith. Jesus said that He stands at the "door" and knocks, if anyone opens the door, He will come into them, and live with them, and they will live with Him. But if you are too afraid to open that door...well, that's your choice, and you must live with it. God is not at fault, you are.
  • yep that was the point remove the religious aspect and ask yourself if anything in you life that was easy means anything to you everything is a paradox choice is an MF'er
  • That's what choice is all about. Pretty asinine to ask if God "understood."
  • religion is an oppression. They want to repress instead of dealing with anything so the list of forbidden fruit is long. It is a very unhealthy way to live or to teach your children. Some restraint is necessary yes . If you become truly honest with yourself you will learn to shed this habit. This shows you how out of natural balance religion is for humanity, and makes for a good argument against God's place in the natural order of things.
