Not on your life. You aren't Jack Sparrow nor are you using the image for profit or personal gain. They have a frivolous case against you and I would make them scrub the deck until you can see a perfect reflection on it and it's as smooth as a baby's bottom.

Maybe, but I'm hoping they eradicate anyone who's written Lion King slash first. THEN they can go afteryou, if your mostly positive representation of their franchise is THAT offensive to them. :P

As you know,I am not a lawyer (nor do I play one on TV). Just Covering my butt! Disney could probably force you to stop using the persona if they had complaints, but I think you are safe. I would think they would have to give you a warning before they could take any action. Many of the avatars on here are copyrighted images. Many of us can get very opinionated and can veer away from kid-friendly topics. I wouldn't worry too much.

Why would they do that, Captain Jack? You are providing free advertising, keeping the franchise alive and well until the next (dare we hope) film comes to a theatre near you! They owe you for doing this..a debt of gratitude, thanks, maybe even a few bucks! :)
