  • Don't you have any friends or family that would be willing to drive you? If not and you really need to go, then it's the good ol' thumb and hanging out at diners where truckers go to see if you can get a ride.
  • Actually, you CAN rent a car if you're under 25 at most places, but you'll need to pay an extra fee. Not every car rental company will allow you to rent a car if you're 20, and even then, you may not have the credit limit or available funds on a debit card (they put a hold on your money as a deposit) to do so. Odds are that if you have a credit card, it has a low credit limit as most college credit cards do. Hitchhiking can be VERY dangerous and can be unreliable. I'd advise against it unless you absolutely need to get to JMU. Best of luck!
