Help answer this question below.

I`m having a problem installing Lexmark X1250 printer(all-in-one) on my new desktop pc with VISTA as operating system.it actually worked on windows XP!so i had to get an upgradable version for Windows Vista online,but it still does`nt work.i`m confused

    Are you trying to install the software from a disc? If so and it worked on XP you will proberbly find that the drivers are not compatible with Vista. this is quite common with Vista. The best thing to do would be to go to Lexmarks support page and look for the driver downloads page. After typing in your printers model and your PC's operating system you will be directed to the correct driver downloads for your OS. Simply turn off the printer, install the drivers and enjoy.     the instruction booklet should have a 1-800 phone number /the software /driver needs to be installed through the device manager / it is quite confusing / but you should be able to get step by step instructions over the phone. / i helped a friend install one of these printers on his dell xp system, and this is what i ended up doing / remember to be polite, and they will treat you like gold!! / and you will have your printer working in notime
