No as it isn't the same kind of terrain. The Colorado just sank, eating away the bedrock of it's river course. The Niagara flows over a rock hard plateau and slowly whittles away at it's drop-off point, crumbling the edge and changing the -place of the falls but the river above the cliff is still in the same elevation .
