It means you need to teach your puppy lap manners.
-
It means she loves you. hehe Maybe puppy classes will help her behave better..
-
She is attempting to be as close as possible to YOU. If she is doing this totally on her own, that is you didn't "call her" to come up, it means that she is very comfortable initiating such closeness with you. She loves and enjoys TOUCH with you, she is confident that YOU approve of this behavior and that you will welcome her advances. That's where SHE is coming from. If it were to be a behavior you didn't like, she probably wouldn't do it; because you would have made your feelings known by now.

You must have just eaten something delicious and the dog smells it on your breath and it hoping to get a taste off your face or lips.

A dog placing its paws on your shoulders, especially whilst sitting on your lap, usually indicates an attempt at dominance. Although it may be a cute action at the age your pup is, it should be discouraged. Not only because of the 'bad behaviour' it would encourage, but because you need to ensure you stay dominant over your dog to be able to live happily together. Jumping up is fine, but the action should be given as a command. Because it may be alright for your dog to jump up on you, but your dog will not be able to distinguish why jumping up on you is ok but jumping up on other people is bad.

Your puppy is wanting attention or just a nice back rub. My parents have a dog and he jumps in my dads lap and thats all he wants his is back rubbed. LOL
-
Your dog want toshow some love and wants to prove his presence by doing so.
-
It means you have a poorly behaved puppy who needs obedience training to learn not to jump on people.

awww it sounds so cute, my dog when she was a puppy would cuddle on my pillow next to your head, it was cute, until she reached 50ibs HAHA. I had a cat that did the same thing, wierd i know but she also chased my car ^_^. So my thinking is as long as she doesnt injure you (nails or her body weight) its fine, and is a mean of wanting your love, she probably thinks the world of you. bye bye.

Puppy love. I now have three 6 week old pups that enjoy tugging on my pants if I sit on the floor with them. :)
-
Your puppy is hugging you. Mine does the same then bends his head down for me to kiss. Just hug him back.
-
It is her way of showing you affection. Many dogs will mimic human behaviors if they have been around humans for quite awhile. I bet you praise her or pet her when she does it.
-
She loves you and is trying to get your attention.
-
She loves you and thinks you belong on the cover of Cosmo! Go apply immediately! : ))

Why do people post on the WORLD WIDE WEB, then get defensive whenever others post sensible responses that don't happen to fit into what the poster wants to hear? If you didn't care about the opinions of others, you wouldn't be posting on here. Don't get pissy with people because they think your dog's behavior is inappropriate. If you're OK with your dog's behavior, that's fine..YOU have to live with it, not us.

she loves you and trusts you!

Dominating you, simply because he is your pack leader..dogs lay paw and head on other dogs shoulder as a sign of domination behaviour...but if they lick other dogs face they submitting to it...
