  • Yes. Taking the time to open/close the door for people is good manners. Also, it gives you a chance to slow down.
  • Yes. I consider it very rude. I don't encounter that often around here (folks are pretty considerate), and I always hold the door whether for a man or woman..it's just the polite thing to do.
  • Yes! It is very rude in my opinion. I've even seen men slam the door shut in a wonan's face or even an elderly person's face. It makes me think the person is very rude and ill bred. In my opinion it's just common courtesy to hold/open a door for someone whether it be for a man or a woman.
  • I always hold the door, and wait for whomever is within a few seconds distance to go thru before I do.
  • I don't consider it rude now. I used to. But I always take the time to hold doors for people and often they seem suprised. Says a lot about society.
