  • Does it happen with all the browsers? Try using another one. If you don't have any other one in that computer, Install Opera or Mozilla Firefox. Let us know what happens.
  • Your browser may have been infected with spyware or other malware. Try scanning with Ad-Aware or Spybot - Search and Destroy. Or you may simply have too many plugins installed. Check Tools -> Manage Add-ons
  • The amount of time it takes to open your browser has absolutely nothing to do with your connection speed. You could open it without even being connected to the internet, actually. You just couldn't open any websites. Do all of your programs take longer to open? It may be a configuration issue, which means uninstall and reinstall the browser. It could also by spyware/malware/virus, run adaware or spybot, and run a virus scanner to see if it clears anything off your computer. Also defragmenting your computer should speed it up a lot if you haven't in a while.
  • Aside from Virus's there is the off chance it may have to do with Firefox or your browser. If you are using Firefox, it may be using too many resources with your CPU. I suggest that you look up ways. If you are using Internet Explorer it may also have a similar issue. I suggest googling "Firefox performance tweaks"
