  • I have not undergone this myself. I do have a aunt a two friends who have. One friend is pleased and has had hers for a couple of years. The other friend and my aunt both had to have surgery to have them removed because they grew into the body and caused problems. It seems like a good idea, the complication I mentioned is supposed to be very very rare. Still, better to know there is some risk.
  • i have the implant. BUT i am getting it taken out. it is good because i have not had a child yet, you can keep it for three years with no worries, and you cant skip a dose. but im assuming in my case the hormone has seriously screwed up my period and ive been bleeding ever since ive been on it. which has been since about early may and now it is early august. not good. it skipped a month but thats it. Also, ill be honest, before the implant i found it veryyyy easy to get turned on..but now, my body is not quite as reactive as it used to be. my sister, on the contrary, has not had one problem with it. depends on the person really. it might have to do with weight but im not positive.
  • The main problem with implanon is the possibility of irregular bleeding!! But it's the best form of contraception, because you don't have to think about it! No pill taking or injection planning, you can just forget and not get pregnant. Its magic.
