I have read that Hitler was aware that the concentration camps for Jews (and gay's) were 'death camps.' Do you think there is any truth to this?

G'day Highlander, Thank you for your suggestion. I am absolutely sure he knew of it. The final solution is based on his hatred of Jews and other so-called inferior races. Hitler was the absolute ruler of German Reich and was interested in every detail of the German war effort. He was aware of and approved the diversion of resources from the war effort to the death camps. Regards

I think that there is every truth to the fact that he was fully aware of what was going on. Have you seen them? Many were no more than assembly lines for death by gassing, and they were extensive. Uhm, yes. The Final Solution was not just orchestrated by Hitler's henchmen. Also the others who were not targetted as 'race polluters' also were known of by Hitler... they died alongside of the 'race polluters'. 'Race polluters' were those targetted under the Final Solution itself. Hitler knew exactly what he was doing. Oh... there were two people targetted under the Final Solution itself, one is usually forgotten: the Gypsies. Yes, I do have sort of a vested interest in that considering that a good chunk of my family was murdered in it. Edited to add: the Final Solution targetted Gypsies and Jews. Many more died than just these. They were not taken as part of racial cleansing... the Nazis had other reasons. They died just the same.

oh, he knew alright. and i agree about re-writing the history books, btw. hitler also killed roman catholics, which i didn't know until recently. i knew about the gypsies, but not from a history book- from an autobiography.

yes, just as America is the 3rd Reich and internment camps here in our backyard will be used for the same reason when the New World Order is in full force. Run to the Woods EVERYONE!!! :)

Hitler was entirely aware of the purposes of these death camps. Hitlers goal was not to use Jews for work but to exterminate them. The work was merely a means to acheive that. If you're gonna kill someone why not gain somthing first.
