  • To experience future life events. It takes far more effort and courage to continue living than it does to die. I think you need to talk about this to a trusted person and find some help. Sometimes this line of thinking is caused by physiological problems that need to be treated. I suggest you see your doctor.
  • Trust in God's plan for your life.
  • Life is better than death. God has given us the gift of life. When you are alive, you can tell you family and friends how much you love them, and they can tell you. When you are dead, you cannot, and all they are left to do is feel the pain of losing you. Not only that, but if you are not saved, then you will be a very horrible place after you die called hell, it all of the pain in this world is better than the pain down there. Listen, if you are thinking about killing yourself, believe me, it is not worth it at all. Life is amazing and it is precious. Do not rob yourself of such a precious gift. Carry on. Be strong. Dying is easy, but living is the real challenge, as someone once said(or simular to what someone said, anyway). If you rob yourself of life, then what else will you have? I hope that this is helpful to you. :) -In the service of the Master. Thank you and God bless you!
  • I ASKED THIS QUESTION LAST NIGHT: "Whats the point in talking someone out of committing suicide when their death will have no impact on others, or effect anything?..I understand the whole being politcally correct thing of talking someone down but still...?" http://www.answerbag.com/a_view/1476972 GO FUK YOURSELF WHOEVER DOWN RATED ME.
  • I suffered through some serious depression to the point being nearly suicidal when I was younger . My dad said something to me that I've thought of many times since then and found very helpful. He said, "Whenever things look dark and hopeless, and you can't see the way out of your current circumstances, hold on. Things WILL get better. Even though you can't imagine how, you WILL have another good day. You WILL laugh again. Just hold on." Now, I know that these aren't terribly profound statements, but I have found them to be true. And I'm so glad that I never did something so shortsighted as killing myself, because I really would have missed out on so much. Please hang on.
  • You are right good things are not assured in the future. But, if you kill yourself you can be absolutely sure that there will be no chance for anything good that may have happened. It is better to have even one single chance than to have no chance at all. There are some that say that suicide is the single most selfish act a person can do. You might ask why? Well. If you think about it most of your life really doesn't belong to you. One part of you is someone's son or daughter, another is a brother or sister or a friend. In a real way each of these people owns a special part of you. When you commit suicide you rob them of this special part of you. If you are contemplating this think of all the people you share your life with. Think of yourself. If there is part of you they find value in then that part deserves the slim chance at a better future than no chance at all.
  • On the other hand, they MAY actually happen. A good sign is that you recognize there are things that you want to experience in the future. Optimism is the key here, but this is easier said than done, especially if you are having unbearable pain. The key to having optimism is to surround yourself with people that can give you support and can be there for you. Going through pain alone is one of the most difficult things in the world. You are in my thoughts.
  • What happens in the future is up to you. You make your future. If your present life is full of pain, you need to take a step back and identify the causes of that pain, and change those aspects of your life. Life IS a struggle, but it is up to YOU to live it. No one is going to hand you anything on a silver platter.
