Expect a happy time and lots of love. have fun. practices and traditions, well the only thing that comes to mind is a legal marriage. there are no customs so much as what the marriage couple wants to do or what their mates want to do for them. Perhaps the will be songs of praise, prayer ofcourse, i think. i have not been to one but other than a lagally binding marriage that is all i know.

A simple dignified wedding. A senior qualified elder with appropriate government registration as a wedding celebrant will give a short bible based talk on marriage. There will be a prayer to Jehovah God to bless the marriage and there MAY be a kingdom Song sung. Apart from that, the wedding is not much different from any other wedding. Later, though, at the reception, TOASTS will NOT be given, Just a simple prayer of thanks to God for the food. Alcoholic drinks are permitted, but in moderation. You will not see drunks at a J.W. wedding. The example is direct from Jesus when he attended the wedding in Canaan and turned water into [alcoholic] wine. Non-J.W.'S ARE invited to the Kingdom Hall for the wedding and procedures are carefully explained to overcome any possible embarrassments, such as Catholic visitors thinking it is necessary to cross themselves on entering the hall. This is not necessary. Visitors to the Hall for the first time will be surprised at the lack of wall mounted paraphenalia. Only a single wall mounted scripture called the 'yearly text'. Apart from that, the Hall is no different from any other community hall, but with seats. No dancing takes place in the Hall. Dancing takes place at the reception centre.

Please take note I am not a JW believer but by asking your question about your invite to a JW wedding proves, they don't outcast non-members which is a big rumor going on about them.
