Well, you would have to accept the Abrahamic mythology and pantheon in order to believe in Satan as a literal being. Otherwise, Satan is not a literal being, only a myth or allegory. This is why I maintain that the only true worshippers of Satanists must first have been some form of Abrahamic adherent.

To believe Satan is real, an actual being? Yes, I say you have to believe in "god" because only someone stupid enough to believe in the fatherly loving all-powerful man in the sky could truely believe there is his opposite in the ground.

No. Satan is actually a real being. He is the bringer of knowledge to man. The bible was written by people who wanted to suppress this true knowledge and its sources. This is why Satan has been given such a bad reputation. People are easier to manipulate if they don't know how to be strong and protect themselves. "God" never was anything real unless you believe that a person's imagination is real.

Not necessarily. I am a Satanist; I believe in Lord Satan. However, I do not believe that there is a xian "god". Lord Satan is my God; the xian "god", I merely believe to be a collection of thoughts and beliefs. Ack, I've said the same things over and over again in different questions that I am lacking the will to elaborate... ^^; Hail Satan
