Trust is relying on a predictable pattern of behavoir, I trust my dad to always lie and to never keep comitments, I trust my sister to always keep my secrets and my best friend to not trash me no matter the fights we get into. Though sometimes we rely on gut and hope that someone wont do what we don't want them to do without yet knowing their pattern behavoir. ie meeting someone new and not knowing whether to trust them or not. Go with your gut when you don't have any history to rely on. But be smart as to which secrets you divulge. Is there a deep secret your willing to take the risk of sharing with someone your not sure that you can trust yet? It's up to you...good luck.

To me trust means putting your faith in someone that they will do right by you and not do anything to hurt or harm you or screw you over. Trust is something that usually has to be earned and it not always easily given. I trust my closest friends because thay have proven themselves to me to be trustworthy people. I don't trust thouse who have given me reason to believe they would do harm if given the opportunity.

It meant my husband. A person whom you never have to question their motives or worry about them not being there when you fall.. Always supportive but honest with you when you are making a fool of yourself. Knowing that they will care for your interests and life as you would your own.

To me, trust means giving someone the power to hurt you. I have never trusted anyone completely. I have been hurt and lied to so much that I usually am waiting for the other shoe to drop.
