Basa filet is also very mild, even a bit sweet. Here's my favorite recipe for mild white fish such as tilapia or basa: dip filets in slightly beaten eggwhite coat with Panko (Japanese style breadcrumbs) panfry (can be done in dry nonstick skillet) set fish aside. In pan, melt 2 Tbsp butter or margarine, add juice of 1 lime, and 1/4 cup white wine. Stir until slightly reduced and thickened. Add a bit of sugar if lime is too tart. Pour sauce over filets and serve.

Try catfish. If that doesn't work, ask the seafood counter for a recommendation.

Mrs. Pauls filets are usually more "Tasteless" than the store version. Fish that are less oily include Catfish, shark, whitefish. Fish that are fishy include Cod, Blue. You can also get the artificial crabmeat and artificial lobstermeat which is actually fish.

Fresh fish doesn't taste or smell fishy. To bring back that fresh from the sea taste from your fish or shrimp, soak your fish or seafood in some salty cold water (use kosher salt, no iodine from Morton's) for 10 minutes. Repeat if your fish isn't very fresh. Then rinse in cold water, pat dry and cook however you wish. It will get rid of the smell and firm up the flesh so it's in much better condition for cooking.
