  • Hate to break it to you - never ever ever.
  • Suspended animation is the slowing of life processes by external means without termination. Breathing, heartbeat, and other involuntary functions may still occur, but they can only be detected by artificial means. Extreme cold is used to precipitate the slowing of an individual's functions; use of this process has led to the developing science of cryonics. Outside of science fiction, the technique has never been applied to humans for more than a few hours. Meaning there is no one in cryogenic status
  • To anyone thinking of being preserved this way upon death,do not do it. You are wasting your money. When bodies are frozen to preserve them, one thing occurs that science cannot reverse. The water in our bodies, indeed the water that is present in every cell in our bodies freezes. When this occurs, it takes the form of very sharp and jagged crystals.these crystals expand and rupture the cell's membrane wall and nucleous, effectively killing that cell. this occurs within every cell of the body. The damage that occurs is irrepairable and unless they have found a way to remove all the water from the body and a differant way to preserve the body, you might as well throw your money into a bonfire for all the good it will do.
  • Possibly, but in a hundred years we'll be able to genetically engineer babies to be near-perfect and will have no interest in curing inferior people. They will be terminated.
  • What I am wondering is would it be possible to keep a person within half a degree of freezing? I bet it would be expensive, but wouldn't that slow down metabolism enough that they could be preserved for a pretty long time?
