  • Good question...I'd guess it's interesting to her, more than a need or even necessarily a taste thrill. The real problem that concerns me is what if she gets one or more that someone has poisoned...THEN you have a real problem! You could try "free feeding" where you disperse her kibble all over so she gets to look for it and pick it up, instead of bowl feeding...that might satisfy her "hunt and peck" desire related to food. If there is any chance a neighbor might use snail bait, I'd be on the stick to prevent her from getting snails. What a bummer! Good luck with this.
