Did a Zeppelin ever dock with the Empire State Building?

Yes--in the early 1930's. The original mast at the top was designed for zeppelins. However, it proved difficult for passengers to safely embark and debark. In addition high winds were a problem. I remember one photo that shows a zeppelin standing stright up on its nose while it was moored to the mast. The whole effort didn't last long, but I'm not exactly sure how long. Others may have more specific details.
