It would make me so happy that it would feel like my intestines are made of rainbows.
-
I wouldn't mind. It's been done before. If it's in a positive way, I'm complimeted, if it's negative, I think it says more about the other person than me. ...Water off a duck's back :-)
-
I enjoy it so long as it's positive. When they start bashing me, ooo boy they better hold their tongues.
-
It depends on the question, but for the most part I don't think I would mind.
-
I didn't feel much different when it happened.
-
I'd think it was cool. Hell, even attention from the odd troll is publicity. hehe.
-
Not much really. I was both mentioned positive and negative. If it's positive, then I would check the question out. If it's negative, then I would flag the question and move on. If necessary, but only for people that just keep bashing on me repeatiatly, I'll report it.
-
It's happened before, and I don't know how to handle it. I was happy that someone remembered who I was. The first time it was completely neutral; not a positive or neagative recognition. Then there was this other time....I think it was one of those congratulations questions. I hope I get someone insulting me in a question soon. I like it when people do that. At least then I know for sure what their true intentions are. Plus, I enjoy putting people in their place.
-
Depends on the question. If it's possitive I glow from ear to ear. If it's negative and untrue they're going down.
-
It would depend on the question!
-
I would love to be mentioned in a question... in an answer would be nice...LOL trolled even!! I guess that is attention...but not necessary the kind I want. :)
-
Being incredibly self centered, I would only wonder why it was just one question;) hahahahahaha
-
I was mentioned once and it wasn't nice...I was embarrased. He told me to take a gun and put it in my mouth and shoot myself. I think I would rather be ignored. I cried for days.
-
Good or bad I would hide.
-
I wouldn't mind... depending on what they were asking about... <raised eyebrow> Is there some kind of hidden meaning in this question, killdr??
-
It's usually very flattering and sweet. Sometimes, it's flattering, sweet, and very, very embarrassing: http://www.answerbag.com/q_view/171428
-
I think it would be quite a compliment and it would make me feel honored. :)
-
It's happened a few times to me now...and I was heavily flattered.
-
I'd feel special.
-
Depends on the question.
-
It already happened (two days after I signed up, no less), and I was fine with it. http://www.answerbag.com/q_view/347183
-
I've been mentioned a couple of times. One was my Maestro Congratulations. Jodie44 threw a lovely party for me. The other was nick_c. That party wasn't nearly as fun.
-
Depends on the question and who posted it. I would hope it would be from someone who likes me ;-)
-
Entirely depends in what context its in... but seeing as I've done nothing wrong, then I'd be flattered I guess.
-
I have been for good, as well as by trolls. The good stuff from friends is a great feeling, and the trolls are just annoying and meaningless to me.
-
Well now...THAT would depend upon the question, now wouldn't it!? <wink>
-
It wouldn't bother me. I would only hope that if there were untruths being spread about me, I would be able to clear things up.
-
It already happened and I was happy that I'd made it to the big time...even if it was only nick_c.
-
It's happened to me twice and I felt good each time. Obviously I would have felt different if the questions had been along the lines of, "Do you agree with me that Brian I is a smug, arrogant, two-faced ******?"
-
I'd find it highly embarrassing and to be honest I don't think it should happen.
-
I am pretty shy so I would be uncomfortable and if was negative I would probably be quite irritated.
-
Shocked. No one knows me, so how could they possibly mention me?
-
If they used my real name...I wouldn't like it too much. but Da ben dan..not a problem.
-
It really depends on the connotation of the 'mentioning'. If its good, then I am very happy! I've been mentioned a couple of times. If it is bad then I wouldn't be sad, but more annoyed.
-
It happened once where a person wrote "promted by Tani.... <rest of question>" and that was OK by me. No harm done at all, and I appreciated the reference to be honest. I think if it happened otherwise I would most likely be embarrassed.
-
Amused, amazed and slightly flattered even if it was in a negative vein!
-
I would think that I'd been "made" in the AB community.
-
No differently than I would otherwise - with respect and dignity. Or are you asking if I would address the behavior? Maybe and maybe not. Generally, sideways diplomacy and humor diffuses negative situations better than head-on confrontations. We shall see.
-
It depends on what the question asked... If it was good... I would feel honored... If it was bad.. I would wonder why they felt that way...
-
Turned on.
-
If it were a statement with a positive, not sarcastic value, I would probably feel good. If it were a destructive statement, not so.
-
It depends on what the question was, but even if it was a mean one, I probably wouldn't care that much.
-
In most cases I feel very flattered, however it depends on the question. Some questions that had my name in have been deleted, however there are a few still up there: http://www.answerbag.com/search?search=nevets
-
Uncomfortable.
-
it depends on what they have to say
-
elated!
-
It depends on the question..."Why won't Rince F**K off ? " would not go down well :-p
-
in a good way flattered in a bad way furious
-
I would mad because they should not mention me to anyone in less ask first.
-
Guess it depends on HOW I was mentioned!
-
Depends entirely on the question. I have had my name in a question see: http://www.answerbag.com/q_view/438631 I was touched that anyone actaully noticed! or http://www.answerbag.com/q_view/581110 Totally unexpected.
-
I did it when I was trying to find out what happen to PrettyPirate. I was so glad I did!! Someone gave me her info and I was able to get in touch with her. As long as it's no mean I don't see anything wrong with it.
-
Id Think it'd be odd because im a brand new member xD.
-
Honored.
-
It would only matter what the member said!
-
It will be cool with me!
-
i think depending on what they were saying, yes i know im a bad speller but im sure it would be amusing.lol little girl lost
-
i find it cool out of everyone he/she choose me lol!!!!!!
-
Depending on what he/she writes about me.
-
i would like it.
-
well i had a question about me once it said that i was obsessed with poo :( im not i only love to smell touch and eat it and sometimes breath it its not an obsession I SWEAR i just happen to like poo horse poo, rabbit poo, human poo ANY sort of poo will do me i don't have a problem. I JUST LIKE POO K.
-
long as it's good things only
-
my name was in a question and I felt like I was just being payed attention to
-
I got flagged for that even though the person I mentioned answered it. And there was absolutely nothing bad about it.
-
It happens a lot with all the congratulatory questions.
-
Well, to answer this begs another question: Who on here matters so much that their opinion makes any impression on me? I know no one, no one knows me, and if I happen to be the subject of a question, then so be it. Hell, I'm not even likely to see the question, anyway.
-
i am scared about the question?
-
Someone mentioned me in a question in a not so nice way and I haven't seen them on here since. I didn't complain but it is odd that they just disappeared.
-
It's happened twice that I know of, not counting the typical "congratulations" questions. Once it was a playful joke from a friend, and the other time, a bitter user's sockpuppet involving me in a fairly nasty accusation. I wasn't really fazed in either case, just interesting to see that anyone was familiar enough with me to use my name in a Q. If someone mentioned me for a more significant reason, I'd probably be either extremely flattered or moderately irritated, depending on the context. :)
-
surprised since almost no one knows me yet
