The temple ceremony is very simply and short. It's basically an exchange of vows, and a pronouncement of marriage. It is generally preceeded by words of councel by the officiating Elder, but otherwise it is just that simple. However, the reception afterwards does involve music, dancing, posing for pictures, punch and cake, flowers, photographers, and even poetry readings (if they wish) and all the traditional trappings of a wedding.
