I am "batching" it tonight (as in "bachelor"), so my immediate short term goals have changed. My wife is spending the night with her sister to help with the new baby.
My new immediate goal is to put out floodlights and frame two sets of stairs on the back deck, then come in and shower, drink a glass of wine and listen to Enya. (The deck was once a long term goal, but has now been promoted to short term).
I think it will be a nice suprise for the pretty girl duck who knows me best, and loves me anyway. :)

I guess to enjoy myself as I go along without having any specific or fixed goals.
It's all well and good loading yourself with qualifications, and landing a well paid job, when it ultimately lends you to working most of yorur waking time.
Similarly it's fine to go wherever the wind takes you, but at some point you may need something to fall back on.
I'd like to aim for something in the middle, nothing set in stone nor anything in particular to aim for, just to enjoy.
