Also... might something more serious be going on? If so what? Any insight will be MUCH appreciated.

Sounds like you have acid reflux problems. Talk to your doctor and maybe try a drug like Nexium.

if i were you i would go to the doctors and explain what is happening. i know heartburn can be uncomfortable but not so much to make you fall over from the pain. you need to get checked out asap. my doctor told me i had heartburn, then changed it to panic attacks, then i had an asthma test. im still no nearer to finding out what it is but im waiting for a scan.

Acupressure/acupuncture The traditional acupressure point for heartburn is conception vessel (CV) 12, which is located on your abdomen about halfway between your belly button and your breastbone. Apply gentle pressure for two minutes, preferably on an empty stomach. A trained acupuncturist will treat heartburn and digestive problems by releasing the energy of the spleen and other energy points related to the digestive system. In traditional shiatzu (Japanese acupressure), heartburn may be relieved by massaging the legs. Sit on the floor with your knees drawn up and your feet flat on the floor. Place your left thumb in the bend of your right knee; your left fingers will be resting on your shin. The shiatzu point you want to massage is on the outside of your right calf about where your left middle finger is pointing. Massage the point gently for ten to twenty seconds, then repeat twice more. Repeat three times on your left leg with your right hand. Reflexology Gently massaging the stomach reflexes of the hands and feet can help relieve heartburn symptoms. If you frequently get heartburn, regular massage in these areas might help reduce the frequency and severity of your symptoms. The stomach reflexes of each hand are found on the palm, in the area below the pads of the index and middle fingers. On each foot, the stomach reflexes are on the sole, in the area just below the large pad of the big toe. Some reflexologists believe that massaging the diaphragm and solar plexus reflex points of the hands and feet also helps heartburn. These points overlap, on both hands, in the palm, just below the pad of the middle finger. They also overlap on the sole just below the ball of the foot.

Are you sure it's heartburn? There are many causes of chest pain that are much more life threatening. I've worked triage and a patient with chest pain is always a red flag. Go see a doctor right now. If the pain is so severe that it caused you to fall over, then something more serious is definitely going on.

You need to go see a doctor. My friend at work had the same thing happen a few months back and it turned out he had eroded a hole in his esophagus and had acid leaking onto his abdominal muscles and intestines. You never know. Go get it checked out.

You need to see a doctor. It's likely esophageal reflux (also called acid reflux). If not treated it can lead to esophageal cancer as well as many other problems. Also, if you are taking antacids too often, it will make it worse. See a doctor.

Can you call the local emergency room and ask them if this could be something that you need immediate help for? It could be heart related. You definetly need an answer to what this is and how to control it, but I am concerned about this new level of pain being something more than just heartburn. I get heartburn. Severe. It is actually acid reflux and can be awful, but if it ever made me lierally fall over, I would know to get to the hospital right away.

The shiatsu is a good idea and also, and I know this will sound strange but it works, drink a glass of water with 1 tbs of apple cider vinegar slowly throughout the day, several glasses if you can. A couple of days of drinking this and most acid reflux problems go away.
