Gay men who were once married. Do you get along with your former wives? It's not like you left them for another woman & if you have children, she doesn't have to worry about another woman taking her place. Was it as bitter as mine?

I get along pretty good with my ex. Well most of the time anyway. We have our disagreements. But then again, we always did. All in all, she's being pretty decent about everything, and why shouldn't she. She got the house, the kids, the cars. Basically, she got eveything with a nice child support check each month on top.

this is not my story, but fits in here with your question. I was never married, but my partner was. she had struggled with who she was for a long time. she was married, and finally realized she couldn't live a lie anymore, and had met a woman that she started dating. she came out to her husband. as they had always been really good friends, their split was friendly. BUT, what is an interesting twist to her story (and a lot of people find this interesting), is that her ex-husband, who had been married to another woman once before he married my partner, came out himself to her! they even started going to the bars together. now, we are really good friends with him and his partner (his partner was married before and have kids....they are on pretty good terms) and we hang out all the time!
