What does it say about modern society when people carry on intimate conversations on their cell phones in public? I mean I have seen men at urinals argueing with someone on the phone..I usually just flush a couple of times...and even that doesn't stop 'em

Highly inflated egos who think that the world of those around them are solely focused on what they have to say. Sad commentary on our times and our culture but this is sometimes what technology has proved to us: We will never go broke understimating the class of our fellow Americans.

It is just really sad that people rely on mobile phones so much. I have found myself falling into using one way more than I would like, but am now hardly using one at all because of recognizing this. My aim is to get rid of it altogther mainly because of the health problems associated. It says that modern society is more reliant on gadgetry than quiet and peace that nature provides if we let it. I think they should be banned from public places like smoking!!!
