  • No, I think we should be forced to leave a comment before we can downrate someone. Also, to stop trolls, I think we should be limited to one downrate per user (not us, other users) per hour.
  • I SOOOOOOOOO AGREE!
  • I think it should be required, though unless you're name is anonymous, I think whoever DR'd the question, or answer, should face up to the person they DR'd, under their username. Its ok to disagree with people..
  • I don't think it's all that necessary. It's not like it's going to stop anything. People who really care enough always have a good reason. They the person who was downrated would be like, "That's not a good reason!" and we'll have one more thing to fight about. Also, we'll lose one thing to complain about. Since everyone will know who's downrating them and why, they'll realize that they aren't being "trolled," it's just that a bunch of people don't like their answers. Can't have that.
  • I assume I was down rated because someone didn't like the answer or they don't like me. I've got a 50/50 chance of picking the reason out of that line up. Peace
  • I don't really think it is necessary. I never downrate anyway. But I think any of us is able to recognize an irresponsible downrate. If some people become a lot of downrate, it is either because they are trolled or because they made something "wrong". I would first try to understand why I could have been downrated, if I could imagine a reason. Well knowing that some people downrate because they disagree with my opinion. The best thing to control downrating is that more rating take place. The more people are rating, the less will be the influence of down rating, I think. As far as you are concerned, I find it very good that you don't seem to downrate much either. For me, the most important is the overall rating. For example, you have no questions and only 8 answers with overall negative rating. I don't think it is a big problem.
