  • My response is usually negative, because A.) Questions like that are usually hasty generalizations about a particular group and B.) I don't believe in killing people.
  • My initial reaction is negative. But then, I try to look at the question more closely for any redeeming value.
  • What puts me off, is when people use absolutes. When people use "every", "all", "always" types of words, that is an indicator that they are starting off as a very biased person. I will usually read the whole question to understand their point, otherwise, if the question is obviously hateful or offensive, I will flag it. I'm not big on downrates.
  • I don't downrate of flag as a rule. I hope I'm open minded enough that if I bother to even answer the question in the first place, I will try and give a decent answer. I don't think people are looking for endorsements to a way of thinking, or trying to recruit people into believing a certain way. I can see where some people might immediately assume something negative. But if I were to read a question like: Should we kill all the pedophiles? I can't see where anyone would think that pedophiles are a asset to society.
