  • I'm confused. Usually when I grill food, I place it on top of the grill, with the heat source below it. When I cook things that come in aluminum, I just remove the plastic and place on top of the grill.
  • Not that I would generally eat something that came in an aluminium tray (:¬)) but for safety reasons it's generally best to remove it and put it onto a grill pan or bking tray if you can - aluminium foil gets very hot and it's easier to burn yourself. I would imagine the taste of the aluminium would taint the food as well.
  • I always rinse all meat, poultry, fish thoroughly and pat it dry before cooking. I would not use the package in which the food comes in any way..I'd get rid of it. Do you mean a barbecue grill? Or do you mean an oven broiler? I'm not sure how you would put food "under" the grill.:)
  • I think it's OK or you can clarify yourself by visiting online grilling stores or blogs or some helping sites like http://www.doityourself.com http://shopping.yahoo.com http://www.ibuygrillparts.com
  • I would suggest first removing the tray; the aluminum might well melt when placed on the grill.
