I believe in an eye for an eye. Drag him to a remote, unknown location, sodomize him, and bury him alive. And televise the whole thing live as I think that the deterrent qualities of the death penalty are muted by making the whole affair as casual and distant as the weekend weather forecast. It needs to be publicized in all of it's detail. Every second of it. Hearing that one could get the death penalty is one thing; watching a man die slowly may be more effective in preventing people from doing... whatever got 'em sentenced.

I disagree in principle with the death penalty. I don't think it should be on the legal books as an option. That is based on the fact that I think, in general, it's a bad thing, and some innocent men have, and do die, having been falsely convicted. That said, and I don't know this case very well, if we have concrete evidence beyond a shadow of a doubt that this guy did these things (like DNA evidence, and the fact that it was in his yard), in this case, I'd make an exception. Unfortunately, in the law, there can be no "exceptions" - once something is in law, it sometimes is abused and used unnecessarily. That's why I'm happy this guy is going to be executed, but the law shouldn't have the power to exercise this ability. For similar reasons, I'm against legalizing euthanasia, even though in some cases, it might be warranted. But that's another debate entirely.

I THINK YOU ARE ALL RIGHT HE DESERVES THE DEATH PENALTY BUT HE SHOULD BE TAKEN IN AND CASTRATED AND THEN TOOK OUT TO COURT SQUARE AND BURNED AT THE STAKE. we dont have the death penatly in canada. usually i think thats a good thing. but then i heard shit like this! crimes against anyone are horrible but when i hear about them against a kid i just wanna scream and cry. i dont get it. sometimes i wish we had it here.
