I've always worked for someone, but have always wanted to work for myself. It's a scary thought to me, I guess. (Don't know what to do, etc...)

I worked for a company for 7 years when I got out of college. Then I started my own business that I've been at for 8 years now.

I have done both. Both have advantages and disadvantages. Working for myself is liberating in so many ways, especially being a mom. However, when you work for yourself, there's nobody to fill in for you when you have to take time off. There's no tech support. You are basically on your own when things get tough. No company perks. No benefits...

Both, sometimes at the same time. For me, I'd rather work for someone so I can focus on the job at hand and not worry about the business side as much.
