Everyone who can afford to should pay tax.
-
No they are serving the country, risking their lifes.
-
I think that they should pay less taxes, since a certain percentage of their earnings go to the taxes that pay their salary. But hey, that's just one person's opinion :)

I believe if they're active duty, they shouldn't have to pay taxes. First of all, they're risking their lives for their country. And secondly, I know how little they make. The very least we could do in return is not make them pay taxes when they're actively working for our country.

Interesting question. At first I would say no. But if you think about it, there are alot of people who are in the military. Which would drasticly raise our taxes. What about a tax break. I think a tax break during there four years would be an insentive for people to sign up.

not if they're on duty! they're paying by risking their own lives!
-
Yes of course.
-
Legally they dont have to but most do not file Exempt. The IRS never corrects you when its in there favor.

When deployed soldiers do not pay taxes, that is fair. When not deployed, they only pay taxes on there base income and not all of the allowances. I also agree this is fair. Soldiers make so little, they have almost no tax liability, so with a little charity, retirement, HSA, and 429 for their children they will have no tax liability.
