I am going to a 1960s fancy dress themed party, and I want to be original, stand out from the crowd; what could i go as, and what would i need to wear to be that character?

Campus Radical- Regular clothing, just have a sign that says "Stop the war!" with a peace symbol on it, and have a large chain- so you can chain yourself to something. Barbarella- Even better if you are a guy. :) She wore a bunch of different outfits, so anything sci-fi and skimpy will do, as long as you have long blond hair teased-up very high. Bomb Cowboy from Dr Strangelove- A 60's air force flight uniform, a cowboy hat, and a large bomb- could be a balloon covered with paper mache.

If I was you I would go as Johnny Carson in Oct 1962 he took over NBC's Tonight show. You could wear a suit and tie. I don't know if you would want to wear a mask or not, you could use an old Time magazine cover. He was the greatest. Or if you want to be something really wacky you could go as the Sea of Tranquility, dress all in gray and see if people could guess what you were.
