Removing fear of death frees the spirit. Once I accepted that my death was my reward for having lived my life all the way to the end, I was relieved. And living all the way to the end of one's natural life can be a challenge, sometimes. The brave ones and the unchallenged manage to stick it out and stay with life; the others kill themselves by whatever means is available: alcohol, overeating, tobacco, risky habits, dangerous friends, and other stuff including knives, guns, and overdosing. Death comes soon enough and brings an end to the worries, and pleasures, of the world with it, but we owe it to ourselves to give our lives a chance so that our death will be noteworthy to somebody.
