Why would you want to have a belly piercing anyway. It is known to cause serious infections in or around the navel area.

I think for most states it's 16.

You have to be 16 and over to have it done without a parent or guardian with you. You only get infections if you dont look after it properly!

in the UK you have to b 13 with parents permission 16 with out think its very different in other countries tho like 16 WITH parents permission untill your 18

My ex husband has 50 50 with me. 2 girls. after 14 months of court battles he got 50 50 with his new demented wife who seems to think that piercings and tatoos are ok for children because she is covered with them. I spent the entire morning taking wax out of my 7 year olds hair extensions, eldest returned from her summer holiday with her belly button pierced at 9 years old and her dad thinks its ok. I am trying to find out if it is illegal!?! before I take it out with my family doctor.

Some places will do it if your 16 or seventeen but you will need your parent present. Other shops 18 is the youngest. And if you take care of it and do everything the piercer tells you it will not get infected.

i am 10 my friend at school had hers done when she was just 10 she was with her mum though ( I live in england)so u can be 10 to hav it dun !!!!! i will never ever hav it dun though!!!!!

No required age, but Iam sure your mother may have a say in that.

you can be any age as long as you have parent permission i believe. i have a friend who had hers done when she was ten!
