Question

Help answer this question below.

Since we all know that negative points given affects our points given %, at what percentage rate would it be fair to label someone as a troll? Can you make a scale and names for each percentage rate, i.e 99% is a point's fairy, etc...?

    Interesting question...
Some have no problem with low positive percentage ratings given...
Maybe we can change it to negative percentage ratings given.
And we can be the bad guys...
    hahaha!

Anyone who gives neg. points for a question is a troll to me, neg. points for answers don't bother me though, I hope we don't have a fairy genre because I give positive points for anybody that gives an HONEST answer whether I agree with it or not

Hm, well anyone under 98% DR's.. it depends on the type of troll? A personal stalking troll? Or a general troll?

100 to 85-Boring buttstab. (Unless your username is Chainsaw or anyone else I actually like on here that has 100.)

    85 to 60-Jerkass.

    60 to 45-Jackass.

45 to 25-Someone who thinks their opinion is worth something.

25 to 0-Probably would do a good job at fingering a woman, that is if they could get any instead of sitting around all day derepping everyone.

NOTE-DOIN' IT FOR THE LULZ. No need to take this seriously, but hey if the hat fits.

It's a label. You apply it when you don't feel like getting to know someone, yet feel the unbridled need to put them down. If you're one to use them, I say use them freely. Or you could perhaps stop bitching about negative points.

The only way we can really use the +Ratings Given to define a troll is to know exactly HOW MANY ratings they've given.

I've seen people who swear they simply don't rate that much (and I believe them). If they've only rated, say 20 questions or answers, and even 6 of them were negative, they'd only have a 67% +ratings given. This also goes for newbies, who tend to DR because they think that's what EVERYONE does. (It's not. Many people don't DR at all... They ONLY UR.)

So, no. I don't believe giving any "names" or "labels" to any percentages in the +Ratings Given can work at all.

I am reading a statistics book. crap. there is a way to solve this. You have a 37% chance of meeting someone that you'd be happy with not including the emotion love. Whether to meet a troll is as likely not sure. It is probably a 37% chance of meeting anyone in particular.

  • A troll is a creep for spite. This is not a mathmatical problem!

i don't think you can label someone a troll bc they have a high neg DR percentage. there are a lot of factors that come into play.

1-what if i was new here and only rated one person, and it was negative? does AB count that as 100% negative or do they wait until you rate more to actually calculate it?

2-using the same example, except, let's say that in one week, i just happened to be posting in a very negative category, like the kkk section and people are making racists statements. if i DRd the racists remarks, let's say 30 of them, and i only rated a total of 35 answers, does that mean i'm a troll? no.

i think that we should be able to see what q/a are being rated, especially downrated. if the q/a was not offensive, spammy, whatever, there's no reason to downrate it and then you are a troll if you DRd it. so, in summary, you can't call someone a troll just based on the percentage.
