  • A CD. Edit I: It flashed green sparks and destroyed the upper part of the CD.
  • Well, I read an article (online) that said that the microwave was a good way to clean stinky sponges (there was some baking soda involved, I think), so I gave it a try... The next day I went back to the web site to find out how to (and someone beat me to the question, once again, "Get the stinky sponge smell out of my microwave"...)
  • One time I put ice cream in the microwave, and it just made it melt into liquid.
  • Glass ball Christmas tree ornaments - sparked all over and became uncoated on the insides where the metallic coating covered the glass.
  • I put a stick of butter in for a couple of seconds to soften..it arced like crazy because of the metallic-like wrapper.
  • I put a piece of my ego in there once to see if it would hold up. It did just fine, didn't explode or implode, just stayed steady.
  • marshmallows puff up really big and then deflate. if you do two marshmallow chicks (the easter candy) with toothpicks in their chests they can joust!
  • Kleenex ;D
  • My thermos I had forgotten in the freezer.
  • A fork. And boy was Granny mad. She was afraid if the thing to being with and I go and stick a fork in it.
  • Well, I have these little bootie things that go on my feet to help them relax. The insides are made of rice, so the rice heats up and relaxes the feet. Those DO go in the microwave, because that's the way to heat them, but it's not for eating and kinda strange. Also, I put my kitchen sponge in there when it gets stinky.
  • When I was 10 I put a can of soup in the microwave. Oops--I removed it promptly upon seeing the first sparks!
  • Once I put an ice cube in the microwave, the water started boiling before the ice cube finished melting.
  • A bar of soap in the microwave is really cool. It puffs up and makes neat shapes. Try it some time.
  • I put peperroni slices on a paper towel and they came out crispy and dry
  • a wash cloth, that had nylon or teflon stripes in it, I used it and put a nice checker board mark on my face.
  • i put a grape in there once it exploded xD
  • Last year my boss bought us wings and pizza from Pizza Hut. I managed to snag a container of wings for my lunch later on. I put the container in the microwave and went in the restroom to wash my hands. A minute later the microwave caught fire because I didn't realize that the container had an aluminum lining and I destroyed the microwave oven. Two years before that I put an egg in my roommates oven and I didn't realize that I just created a bomb and I blew up that microwave too.
  • I zap my cleaning sponges pretty regularly. It's suppose to kill bacteria.
  • Socks and they steamed alot
  • cristmas lights are cool, the sparkle, and CD's, put one of them in the micro, its pretty. and also light bulbs.
  • Once we put the microwave in the garden, run a extension lead to it and put light bulbs in it. The lightbulb made really prettly colours which was great in the dark, then exploded. Happy memories of a mispent childhood!
  • I've put a small blanket in a microwave, nothing really happened, the blanket just go really soft and warm. I've also put frozen wood glue in the microwave and once again, nothing happened. I'm hoping to do all sorts of crazy ideas when I get my own place.
