i haven't read it, but my best friend has. i read the first four, and i thought FOR SURE! that harry was going to bite it [that is, die]. that's the only thing i really have to contribute... sorry.

Hmm... All of the relationships! Ron and Hermonie/ Harry and Ginny! I didn't think Harry would die... But thought many of his friends would! And several did! But what surprised me the most was the way Snape thought about Lily! He loved her! :/ And died to protect Harry!

I predicted it all, just about. I knew the tiara would be significant, it was mentioned in book six, and I just couldn't see someone hiding that kind of thing without a reason. I kept leaning towards a wand or staff being the hierloom of ravenclaw, because of the grail legend, but I did predict the pairings of Ron and Hermione, and Harry and Ginny. The main thing I didn't predict is Ron standing up for House Elves, which led to the kiss of course, lol. I figured that they would kiss though. I believed that Harry would live, but I couldn't imagine Harry overcoming Voldemort in a spell for spell exchange, so it was no surprise to me when Voldemort pretty much defeated himself. I also predicted most of what happened in regard to Snape, because there was that fight he had with Dumbledore in book 6, where Snape didn't want to do something, but Dumbledore said that he had to. I thought that they might have been talking about killing him, which, as it turned out, was correct.

I predicted most of the deaths -- Dobby's, A Weasley twin, and Remus. I was also 100% certain that Snape was not evil, though I did not predict he was in love with Lily. I was surprised by Mad-Eye's death -- I just didn't see that one coming at all! Though I would have if I had thought about it. I was pleasantly surprised by Percy's return.

I was able to see Harry and Ginny hooking up, and I was able to see Hermione and Ron hooking up. I knew that Voldemort was going to die. Everything else was unexpected.

I had wondered about Snape. After book five I had kind of thought that there might have been something between him and Lily. I had also thought that there had to be much more to what he was doing than just hatred for James and Harry. I had also wondered if Dumbledore and Snape hadn't set up the events that occurred at the top of the tower and that Snape had been operating on Dumbledore's orders at that point. I had speculated that they had even gone so far as to come up with a way to fake Dumbledor's death. (I was obviously wrong about that.) I too, like several others here, predicted the eventual marriages between Harry & Ginny and Ron & Hermione.

I had heard rumors that Harry was to die at the end of this book. Also, I thought that Dumbledore would somehow come back (maybe with his own Horcrux?) It came as a pleasant shock to me to find that the rumor of Harry dying was not true, but I did find the deaths of many other characters both dark and unprecedented in this series of books. The ending, subsequently, was too much like a fairy-tale, something I suppose would keep the kiddies from being too depressed after reading (this judgment coming from someone who likes the macabre feel of Stephen King, Anne Rice, and who cheered at the end of the first Saw movie). I guess I should have anticipated most of it, but the ride was no less of a thrill. :)

I hadn't actually guessed anything. Lots of things suprised me though. I was very shocked about Dumblebore's and Snape's business. I hated it when Fred died. Yeah, there is heaps of things that I was suprised by.

LOTS of it was unexpected and as for Snape it was twisted around and looked at from so many perspectives so much that you never had any clue what was going on. One second your like "Oh yea he's so good." Than you find yourself saying "He's horrible, I hate him, I can't believe he just did that!" Than you go back to liking him, and so on. You kinda got that he had some sort of feelings for Lily after the fifth book. Like pretty well everyone here I did expect Ron and Hermione as a couple, same with Harry and Ginny.

That book was SO predictable. I didn't want to make any guesses about what would happen, but I always thought Snape hated James for a REASON. There WAS a reason. And the ending was so PREDICTABLE! SO cheesy, I didn't like it much, but at least that ended it. Of course, Voldemort dies, and Harry lives. Very fairy-tale.

I did see the death of Voldermort and Peter Pettigrew. I didn't see the Death of Fred or the half evil turn of Ron when they are on the run.

i knew Snape and dumbledore planned what happened on top of the tower..i knew who RAB was..knew Kreacher would know something about locket...knew Ron and Hermione would get togehter..knew there was more to Dumbledore's iron clad reason for trusting Snape...i think thats it
