    To me, an insensitive person is someone who does not care about the feelings of others and they are emotionally detached. Insensitivity is ugly.

    Insensitivity comes as Shadow says, from the person being consumed with themselves or not being emotionally attached to themselves, in order to feel empathy for someone else.
