  • Type "this PC" into your Windows search box, then pin it to your taskbar. This gives you instant access with a click of the mouse.

      This method does not necessarily open the file in Chrome unless Chrome is the default program for the file type. For example I tried with a text file. It opens in notepad. If I use ctrl-o it opens in Chrome.
