I plan to writer a book, can I use meme characters (unlucky brian, good guy greg,) and other internet famous persona without getting sued?
I plan to use famous internet personalities and stuff, is it okay to use them or do I have to ask permision?

If memes are copyrighted or use copyrighted material, you could theoretically be sued.

2-26-2017 As a matter of self defense, you have to check the legality of all your material. You might have noticed that tv shows and movies all use the same newspaper, and have for a long time. That is because everything on it has been carefully checked for copyrights. One company prints it and all the producers use it. One thing you can do is to make your own hand drawn pictures. They can be similar to familiar forms, but they would all be your original versions.
