Chips, the Irish kind, when I can get them. I got tired of the "chips" in Detroit, which were served with really good freshly beer-battered cod. I went over to Sarnia, Ontario, and kept driving to the first place with F&C. The fish looked great, but might as well have been deep-fried lard. The "chips" were also very pretty but no better-tasting that the fish. No gain, here. I kept heading east and got to Milton, near Toronto, and stopped at Casey's. Gold mine. Weren't served on newspaper, like the last F&C I had in Waterford, but that didn't matter, and I enjoyed both the fish and the chips and the malt vinegar, and the day was well spent.
