I bought an unlocked cell phone from ebay. However I lost my sims card. I called cingular and they said just come in and they would give me a new sims card. If I put the new sims card in will my old number automatically be on it?

No. They would have to activate it for you. Depending on your carrier, they may activate the card, then give it to you. They may give you a new card, then you need to call them from your cell phone to activate it, or some other method. Call them again and ask them. It varies with the carrier.

Yes, it will be the same number that your service provider gave you. However, your phone book/contact list and any other things you had saved may be gone. It will depend on whether or not these things were stored on your phone.
