Is it right for Answerbag to reject category suggestions for common topics, yet maintains a category for Aoife Ni Fhearraigh (in the 'Celebrities' category) whom I don't believe any of us has ever heard of?

Yeah it's like having a topic for 'Candy Movies' but not having one for 'scary movies'. Silly, isn't it?

LOL! Who is she, and how exactly do you pronounce her name? All the sensible, useful categories, like ''biscuits and cakes'' are being rejected. I suggested ''Synagogues'' to go under ''Judaism'', after all there is a ''Churches'' under ''Christianity'', but that too hasn't been approved. Instead, various celebrity and ''fluff'' categories that really aren't that necessary are being approved.

I see this question as anti-Irish and I had always thought that so many Americans claimed an Irish background.

It seems to me that only categories for Fluff questions are being accepted. I feel it is a general Dumbing down of the database. Our first Maestro was run off because people said he asked point grabbing questions. It seems to me that is all a lot of the categories are designed to do, "Cat or Shampoo"? would have been thrown off site a few montha ago , as would most of the other "This or That " questions. Some really interesting categories that people have suggested have been rejected in favour of some totally irrelevant garbage.
