This girl keeps instant messaging me and seems confident to talk to me online, but when I see her in the real world she doesn't say hi to me. Does she like me or not?

Many people do that, they use the computer as a wall between themselves and other people. If makes us feel invincible, we say things we probably wouldn't in real life. But in this case i would say YES! She does so go for her!

Common problem. As a matter of fact, that's how I am. But I have to tell you, it is NOT because I don't like her. It's because I like her SO MUCH and I'm really shy when it comes to her. So I will say yes she does.

Some people IM because they are bored at home and have nothing better to do than type on the computer and have conversations that way. Also, online, people tend to tell eachother things they normally wouldn't- it's just easier to write something sometimes than to say it. Online, talking to people just because you're bored, you may engage in some conversations you normally wouldn't.
Then again, it could be the classic "I'm too shy to say anything in person"
Try talking to her in person- I doubt she wouldn't respond at all. Maybe you'll find out more if she's interested or not by her reaction.

Well she's probably happy to talk to you on emailing but when she knows shu's about to come around you she probably gets nervous. Just wait and see if she come overs But if she don't you make the first move.for instince Like I will chat all day long with a boy I like But I get nervous and just stay away so I won't mess everything up that's probably how she feels. So just give it some time it will come around.

Listen one thing you have to understand about women, and people in general is that sometimes we feel insecure to communicate to the opposite sex because of fear of rejection.

The reason why maybe she can vocalize her self better in text is because she feels more confident, and more open though putting her thoughts and ideas on paper (IM's)

She likes you, but you have to start the relationship with her in person.

She likes you but its just hard for her to talk to you in person...next time she is online you should ask her to do something...maybe a moive...no maybe lunch something that would force her to talk to you...if she says ok then yeah she likes you...I have the same problem..its hard to talk to people sometimes

same problem and i know it really sucks. What I did was actually ask her why we never talked in person. we came up with something funny to say to eachother the next day when we saw eachother. we kind've joked around with it and eventually came closer.
