Has anyone ever said something that was totally taken the wrong way, but the injured person, doesn't believe you are innocent?

Yes, and unfortunately, that person died a few weeks later, too young, and still pissed off at me.

Absolutely. Misinterpretation and pride are common. (Misinterpretation being, to some extent, inevitable.)

Many times I make a statement and it becomes misconstrued into something never intended, so I have to mend fences to all innocent parties.

Sure have. Some people don't get my humour and the joke falls flat.

As the self proclaimed king of snarky dry humour, I'd have to say no. Everyone gets my comments. Once again, dry. Yes, I've had it occur many times. At least it's never resulted in physical violence.

Yes. A lot. Unfortunately. My ex used to say I let my ostrich mouth overload my hummingbird a$$. I divorced him, but it still happens.
