  • I use it and sure, there are positive things like...helping me to relax, making everything funny, helping me sleep better. I don't know of anything negative about it aside from the fact that you could get arrested for using it - I don't really pay much attention to people who disagree. I listen to their opinions and respect them, but that doesn't mean that I have to agree with it.
  • Positive aspects: It broadens your mind, helps you think, relaxs you. Negative: Its costly, its illegal, it can cause paranoia. Tolerence? - too stoned to care.
  • I use it every day to counteract my medicine's harsh side effects. Also for enjoyment.
  • Yes, I consume cannabis. Yes there are many positive benefits: ------- • Increased clarity from sativa strains. • Indica strains are great for pain relief and insomnia. • I tend to be more open and socialize a lot better. • Enhancement of everything from food to sex. • No risk of overdose. • Cannabis is less toxic than many of the drugs physicians prescribe every day. • No reported cases of lung cancer or emphysema attributable to marijuana. Yes there are negative aspects... well sure there are negatives in almost everything: ------- • I live in a fairly tolerant state that has decriminalized cannabis, but I could still be ticketed. • The prohibition of cannabis ruins the lives of otherwise law abiding citizens and their families. • Short term memory is affected during the intoxication(1-3hrs), but will return to normal afterwards. • In most areas of the world marijuana is only purchasable on the black or gray market. This is dangerous and means the product could be of poor quality. • Psychological dependency. People who disagree on what level? ------- • I disagree with people who don't tolerate my responsible [adult]marijuana use. • It is obvious prohibition doesn't work and I don't tolerate people who say it does.
  • I have used habitually in the past. Good points - helps you forget problems - it makes life fun Bad points - wanting it so much when you do not have it - costly and illegal - waste of time due to finding and getting weed, plus lost motivation to do anything else - mental health worries/risks - I feel less calm when using weed regularly, get angry faster and feel a lot less sociable - having to hide from friends/family your secret other life I don't mind if people disagree. As a past user, I feel like I can speak on this issue with confidence, but I am also aware everyones experience is different and may not match my own. I don't care if you don't agree with smoking - each to their own.
  • yes yes the only negative thing is your vurtualy burning up your green in two aspects if you don't smoke it its your choice i smoke it its my choice don't preach to me you don't know what your missing
  • It makes you feel good. =)
  • Hmmm, let me think....nothing.
  • You elevate from it, but then of course you go back down.
  • I take about 17 medications a day and take 2 different insulins and I am in pain constantly. I that bud helps me to cope with the pain. It doesn't actually take it away but it numbs it. I'm not sure of all of the benefits but I know that it helps me get through the day with out suffering.
  • that weird feeling...... :)
  • It makes everything in the world niiiice. :)
  • In my opinion, not many. I suppose it could help with hypertension or other similar ailments. It's a downer so if you have something wrong with you that keeps you overly strained I think it could help settle your nerves a little. But for me, it's just bad.
  • it makes a bologna sandwich taste like prime rib
  • there are plenty of positive benefits . relaxation, help sleep, pain relief, just to list a few i really don't understand how its illegal and alcohol is legal if you ask me that is defiantly the wrong way round how many times do you read in newspapers about fights under the influence of weed? NEVER !! unlike alcohol which is all the time . its the most stupid law today. i dont tolerate people who disagree very well .as most of them have never tried it but are willing to shove alcohol down there necks and think thats fine LEGALIZE CANNABIS
  • If it was legal for everyone, to smoke, to grow, to sell, to give away, then it wouldnt matter. but the law wants to make trouble and that causes lots of negative aspects. many people smoke it only because it is against the law. simple rebellion. those are negative aspects. the law needs people to put in prison. that is why there is the marijuana law.
  • Smoking Pot.... Who Doesn't? Facts show that millions of people use it. I believe it is more then that people just get weird when they are asked because they feel they are being tested and possible it's a trick. Marijuana is illegal which is silly. You could have the worse day of your life and come back smoke a J and feel about 85% happier and more relaxed. If it was legal I would wake up high and go 2 sleep high. I would do it everywhere I could. I agree it does make me slower and I do forget about things, but what about the positive things about it. Video Games are greatly enhanced when you use this drug. Music as well. Games hold your attention more and you focus more. Yes you might "Space Out," but your mind is thinking. If you have never seen the movie Super High ME " the maker of Super Size me" Go buy it or rent it. It is a very intersting film about marijuana. He goes sober for 30 dayz and they test him. Then smokes lots for 30dayz its very funny and informative. I hope that all the potheads out there one day figure out how 2 legallize it in all the US!!! People who disagree with me probably tried it and didn't enjoy it. My 1st time I got scared, but I did it again and Fell in love. It should be legalized and used liek alcohal. Whens the last time you heard of someone overdose on pot? Whens the last time you heard of someone getting into a fight because they were smoking pot? Whens the last time you heard of someone smoking pot and getting into a accident? The only reason you'd get into a accident using this is trying to smoke while driving. People don't look outside the box. My friend's mother had cancer and the only thing that made her happy was her green. It was some amazing stuff. It's a great pain reliever for the mental aspect and physical. I got a tooth pulled and tried 2 take medicine that wouldn't knock me out. DIDNT WORK! Used some cannabis and felt great! Everything else is going Green... Why Can't the Government? =D
  • good for pain management for people with multiple sclerosis
  • i smoke every day and it has only positive affects, im more motivated to do stuff, i wake up out of the bed feeling happy, i sleep better, more motivated to work and get rich, appreciate people in my life more, realize the ppl who i shouldnt be around, have more positive outlook on life, which also is a huge boost for physical health, but most importantly i see REALITY. dont get me wrong reality is not always good or pleasant, but it IS important to know. because when you dont smoke you naturally block out the things you dont want to think about and it causes bad situations. when you smoke you realize whats right in your life and also whats wrong so that you can fix it! this is the reason a lot of ppl are against it cause they smoke it once and get all these thoughts of reality and CANT HANDLE IT. there is NO negatives not one, only the money could be a point to argue BUT because its so costly it really motivates you to go out and get a job, or two jobs.. i actually have 3 jobs i sell insurance work midnights and also do promotions.. oh yeah and the other negative these pigs will put you behind bars which is the worst most ignorant act of government since slavery.. but look you cant let these nazi's tell you how to live your life.. i have ZERO tolerance for anyone who disagrees and thinks people should actually go to jail for this plant. none. if you think this, i honestly believe you should go to jail for NOT smoking. how would you feel? that would make as much sense as goin to jail FOR smoking, since it really does open your mind and make you smarter and give you more positive thoughts and make you see whats real. truthfully its your choice to smoke or not, i dont really believe in puttin nonsmokers in jail, but it honestly would not be any more unjust than the current system!!!! by the way i havent smoked in 2 weeks bc im on probation, so if you think this is just the weed talkin... wrong again. havin to go without it just makes me appreciate it more!!!!
  • I use marijuana everyday mainly b/c the positive Benefits like relaxation the high and other reasons. It does have its bad Price sometimes shitty or even hard to find.If a person dont smoke thats them. I'm ME so I'll be nice enough 2 say lets break out my mega double Bubble Bong and lets get fucked up on some NYC Diesel.
  • How well do I tolerate people who disagree on what? My opinion or whether or not I use marijuana?
  • I do, although I haven't for about 4 weeks as the result of a personal break from pretty much everything. There are definitely both positives and negatives to smoking. I am more understanding, creative, and energetic when I am smoking. People notice that I relate to them more, and am more likely to go out of my way to help them when I am smoking (not necessarily when high, but when I have smoked in the last 24 hours). Negatives, I would have to say, are a decreased attention span, and forgetfulness. I don't mind if people disagree, that's their right. I actually don't mind when they criticize me or other people who toke, it isn't really a big deal.
  • Sometimes when I'm in Amsterdam. There are some positive benefits. Scientists have learned a great deal about how THC acts in the brain to produce its many effects. When someone smokes marijuana, THC rapidly passes from the lungs into the bloodstream, which carries the chemical to the brain and other organs throughout the body. THC acts upon specific sites in the brain, called cannabinoid receptors, kicking off a series of cellular reactions that ultimately lead to the “high” that users experience when they smoke marijuana. Some brain areas have many cannabinoid receptors; others have few or none. The highest density of cannabinoid receptors are found in parts of the brain that influence pleasure, memory, thoughts, concentration, sensory and time perception, and coordinated movement. Not surprisingly, there are negative aspects too. Marijuana intoxication can cause distorted perceptions, impaired coordination, difficulty in thinking and problem solving, and problems with learning and memory. Research has shown that marijuana’s adverse impact on learning and memory can last for days or weeks after the acute effects of the drug wear off. As a result, someone who smokes marijuana every day may be functioning at a suboptimal intellectual level all of the time. Research on the long-term effects of marijuana abuse indicates some changes in the brain similar to those seen after long-term abuse of other major drugs. For example, cannabinoid withdrawal in chronically exposed animals leads to an increase in the activation of the stress-response system and changes in the activity of nerve cells containing dopamine. Dopamine neurons are involved in the regulation of motivation and reward, and are directly or indirectly affected by all drugs of abuse. Recent studies have also found that marijuana users are far more likely to suffer from mental disorders. I tolerate disagreement well, but you will probably find that there will be some hardline "users" who won't tolerate what I say very well at all.
  • I used to smoke, but I had to stop for my job. I miss it a lot, cause I wasn't so bitchy when I would get high. The funny thing is that when I applied for my job, which I've been at for almost 5 years now, I smoked the night before I was going to unknowingly be given a drug test. Well someone was on my side that day cause I ended up getting the job and have been successful ever since. I'm a little paranoid about smoking again cause I'm afraid of random drug testings, so I kind of had to stop. Bummer! Life goes on.
