  • It varies from person to person...what may work for others may not for you....you can only try...but 5 min a day is too much...it should be more like a total of 10 minutes a week....
  • You will burn if you start at 10 mins. Start at 5, gradually go up to 7, then 10 and so on. You should go every other to every third day to get your melanin built up. It absolutely worked for me!
  • You don't need to go to the tanning bed. Do the same thing outside, limit sun exposure till you get a little tanned. I don't know about you, but I can feel my skin getting red if I am overdoing it. Go out for 5 min. then get into the shade. If that's not enough, do 10 min. the next day, or as many days as it takes to reach the desired shade.
  • I would say this is true, because I know people who are very pale and burn easily. One of them started tanning in the tanning bed for a about 5 minutes, and now she doesnt burn as badly. You can also soak yourself in sunscreen thats 30 SPF+, I'm sure that would help as well.
  • Actually, I've heard it's total bull crap. You're still getting your skin damaged, except tanning beds are like ten times worse. Have you considered sunscreen, perhaps?
