If somebody were to knock on your door right now, is your house clean enough that you would feel comfortable letting your visitor in?

I actually just cleaned, except for dishes, but considering I have things I don't want to be seen in here, probably not. Also, considering I have a strong phobia of door knocking, I'd probably get a panic attack and start shaking and feel like I'm going to have a heart attack.

my house is never really clean, i admit i am not a neat freak, but i will never be ashamed of it. if you choose to visit my house, especially uninvited, its on your own risk.

Absolutely! My GF cleaned my house for me two weeks ago and since then I have been living with her. I dropped by my house yesterday evening briefly and it still even had that clean smell within it!

I can't claim any credit for it because I don't do the cleaning, but our house is always clean enough to let people in without any feeling of discomfort.

It depends on who knocks on my door. If it's Oprah, no. My kitchen is a mess right now, but the rest isnt' too bad. If it was a friend, I'd let them in.

Depends on the visitor. Either they are sloppier than me or they are trespassing and can be shot so long as their corpse lands on my side of the property line.

Lounge room isn't that bad but my room is a pig sty. I'll have to clean it up one day... Maybe when I move out. Haha.

No. My husband and I both work full time, and quite frankly I'd rather sit here answering questions in the evening than do MORE work. It will get cleaned this weekend though. So, if you know us, and understand that we work and have lives, then sure, come on in.

Yes, I am really anal about having everything in it's place. I have been this way all my life....but when I have my granddaughter we will build tents in the living room and cook and make big messes in the kitchen but before she leaves we get the house back in order.

it is odd... i am sure that anyone coming in would think my house is clean enough, but i never do... it always looks dirty and i have this unkillable feeling that it is full of germs and bacteria even though i disinfect everything with hydrogen peroxide and vinegar and bleach... the house is so full of things that there is no room to more, and this adds to the stress of it.

Yes, I spent all Monday afternoon cleaning so the house looks good. However a week from now will not be the same story!

Sure I would. My house always looks lived-in but comfortably clean. Anyway, I spending time with other people always trumps minor embarrassments like a little untidiness.
