Was this an e-mail from a stranger, by any chance? I get those, too and I am a woman. They usually say that they are anxious to meet me as they have been told that I am a good-hearted person, or something to that effect. I delete them as it is just a fishing expedition.

It sounds like she likes you, but doesn't want to dive straight into a relationship. I didn't word it quite this way, but the first time I met a certain fellow I sent an email with a similar sentiment, (you are awesome but I hope I didn't give you the wrong idea since I'm not looking for a relationship right now). In response he said basically, hey, that's cool, I just want to hang out. We were friends about six months before it turned into a real relationship. And a good one too! But so you know, I wasn't game playing with him at all - I really *wasn't* looking for a relationship, and the time wasn't right just then. So we got to know each other as friends, and things developed out of that when I was ready. So my advice is, take it slow, see where things go. At least you know she likes you!
