I don't think it'll work. Rowling has written her last Harry Potter book and it may indeed contain the death of the main character which would eliminate any possibility of another book. I watched an interview with her the other day and she seemed quite relieved to be finishing the series (after all it is an immense pressure with the huge amount of fans). I very much doubt she'll feel any need to write another book (in that series anyway), after all she doesn't exactly need the money, does she? I'm unsure whether I'll read the 7th Harry Potter book. I lost interest in the series before and didn't read the previous book however - it promises to be an interesting read being the final in the series so I may indeed buy a copy, eventually.

I hope not. Poor Rowling. Stephen King once wrote a novel about an author who wrote a series of books. Eventually, the author got tired of writing them, and killed off the main character. One of this author's crazy fans kidnapped the author, and forced him to keep writing books. The point is, J.K. Rowling knows the character is popular, knows that she could make lots of money writing books, but it's her life, after all. Let her decide how to live it.

I sincerely hope not. I've really enjoyed the Harry Potter books, but one of the marks of a good author is to know when to quit. Quit while you're ahead, and your books will go down in posterity. Otherwise you run out of ideas, start repeating yourself, start writing pot-boilers to keep interest, but not really contribute to the story, and write yourself into oblivion. If she wants to keep writing, and I presume she will, I'm sure she can think of MANY other stories to tell which don't involve Harry. If she stays in that world, at very least she can ignore harry and pick up on another character to follow.

ofcourse i am looking forward to the 7th book, I have been waiting like 6 years for it to come out! No i dont think this website will work. The book is already finished, so if Rowling killed harry is already been done. And I'm pretty sure it's already being printed so no this will not work.

For pete's sake. I am looking forward to the seventh book. I hope it tie's up all the loose ends so there will be no need for an 8th book. Harry potter is a great story. It is time for it to end. Let's let JK write about something different. Who know's? It may be even better than Harry Potter!
